Car Rental (not at WDW)

Looking to rent a car for a week while my mom is here from Vegas. Not sure if anyone knows of a place to go or a better deal! She went online and was quoted over $500 for a week.

Do you know if she pickups up in PA and drops off at Newark if that makes a difference?

Go to priceline.com, put in your dates and location and then you can compare rates. Then go to retailmenot and look up codes for the cheapest company.

you can also try kayak.com - it's a consolidator of all the companies and will link you to the supplier site directly.

I use them often - especially for car rentals!

And yes, often when drop off is not the same location as pick-up you will pay more.

Budget has a pretty good deal right now with their "Wendie code" for week-long rentals.

If you go to their web page, scroll down and look for the pix of some "mature" type actress and click on the deal button near her picture to auto-load the code into your reservation request.

I tried most of the codes out there for all the majors....the Wendie deal beat them all and was comparable to the prices the "sketchy" firms were asking (about $14 per day for a compact).

Now, for a "pick-up one location, drop at another location," the code may not be valid. Those rentals are usually significantly higher and Priceline only offers one-way rentals for a very few markets...probably not the one you are looking at.
