Car rental lines at 11pm vs skip the counter

Hi! We are arriving at MCO at 10:44pm in mid-February.

We are renting a car for our 10 day trip, and I am debating whether it’s worth extra $$ to go with Alamo and skip the counter, or if lines will be non-existent at that time - so Avis (cheapest) will be ok. Savings is $~150.

I know it can vary based on whatever is happening flight wise, but with 2 little kids the thought of waiting in line at that hour isn’t fun.

or, any tips on skipping lines for companies other than Alamo?

Almost all have an option to skip the counter, many for free. And I would highly recommend skipping the counter, it was about a two hour wait last time we rented a car and that was at around 11PM.

And while the lines are longer in the afternoon they normally have more staffing and with reps that "generally" (always debatable but going on my past experiences) are more efficient and getting customers in and out -- if you get to the counter at 11pm even though the line may be much shorter I wonder if the rep (probably singular) is as efficient at processing the rental agreement and getting the customer on his/her way.
