Car Rental help

What is the best way to rent a car one way? I need to leave OKW and arrive in Brandon Fl (Outside of Tampa).....I have callled Hertz and Enterprise and they haven't been very helpfull. It will be too difficult to rent at the airport......Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Prior to buying last month, I have stayed at POFQ and then we drive to Boca Raton after our week in WDW has ended.
I reserve a car online using alamo and then ask the conciege desk at the resort to reserve a shuttle pick up upon checkout with all our luggage. We are then brought to alamo rental in the WDW car center by shuttle bus. Alamo is flexible and I return car at Fort Lauderdale airport. Couldn't be simpler. Just make sure that you request your shuttle pick 24 hour prior to pick up.

We have rented one way from Dollar at the Regal Sun Resort on Hotel Blvd. with excellent prices several times in the last couple of years.

If you rent from the Alamo desk at the Car Care Center, you can call and have them send a van to pick you up at your resort. That's probably the best solution for an OKW stay.

There is an Alamo desk at the Dolphin resort, which is convenient for guests at BCV or BWV. And several DTD-area hotels (the non-Disney establishments) have rental counters. But you'd probably have to take a cab since you're looking at a 2-3 mile walk from OKW.

If you're looking for Hertz, I found their service excellent - and an excellent central location on WDW property. They've picked me up pretty fast from the WDW DVC resorts.

Hertz (on WDW property) is situated at Shades of Green (just a short bit West of the Grand Floridian). If anyone on this thread starts saying that you have to be military to even go there, I will say right now that I am definitely NOT military and I use this location for Hertz frequently. The SoG shuttle will clear you past the entrance checkpoint and then take you to the Hertz desk inside the lobby of SoG . . . no problem.

Your conciege desk staff can arrange a shuttle for you to get you there to pick up your car.

AVIS has a location for drop off in Brandon, FL if that helps any - it's at the big mall.
