Hello everyone, I had a question that I'm hoping someone knows the answer to. We're going to be taking an end of the month trip to UO to see WWoHP and we're going to be staying at the PBH. I was going to rent a car to get there but didn't want to pay for the hotel parking all of the nights that we'll be there since I won't be leaving property. My question is: does anyone know what car rental companies offer pick-up service? I wanted to check in the hotel and have the company pick-up the car since I won't be needing it. If not, is there a car rental company within easy walking distance from UO? I'd rather have the car company pick up the vehicle but if It's close by then I don't mind walking and I really don't want to pay for a cab.

Every site that I check says pick-up service but they mean they'll pick you up at home but not the car when you're done with it. Anyway, if anyone knows who offers that I would really appeciate the help. Thank you for taking the time. :)

Hertz: onsite

Avis @ DoubleTree behind PBH and Budget at Holiday Inn Express across from that.

Both ^ are easily walkable to PBH...we use the Budget every year.

Thanks, good to know. Is Hertz the only car rental company onsite? Oh, and how many minutes walk time will you guestimate the Doubletree and Holiday Inn are from PBH? Thanks in advance. :)

yes and about 5-10 minutes...it's pretty comparable to the walk to the Studios from RPR

Bubba's mom, thank you so much for your help. ;)

Now I've got another question for anyone who may know. When we check into PBH I was thinking of keeping the rental car for an extra day so we can do some sight seeing around Orlando before we visit UO. If I tell the hotel staff that I'm only having the vehicle for a day and not the rest of our stay, will they still charge me a parking fee for the rest of the days? Has anyone else done something similar? Don't you pre-pay everything when you check in? Just don't want to pay a parking fee for 5 days when I'm only parking 1, you know what I mean?

Anyway, any info on this matter would be greatly appreciated, thanks everyone. :)

^ When you check in and they ask if you have a vehicle on property, say "yes...but we are returning it tomorrow...so, we will only have it here 1 night."

Then, make sure on your check-out day that your bill has only 1 night of parking.

Hang onto return receipt from rental car agency that has return date on it jic there's an issue w/ the hotel.

Bubba's mom you Rock!!! :rockband: Thank you so much for all of your posts!

Would you happen to know if there's an Alamo rent-a-car within walking distance of PBR? If you don't, thank you anyway. :goodvibes

You're welcome.

I'm not aware of any Alamo's within walking distance tho...sorry.

I think all the Alamo's are near Disney.

There's an Alamo drop off ( or was? )at the Four Points By Sheraton (ORLR71)which is right by Wet n Wild.Probably a mile or less walk back to CitiWalk:thumbsup2:cool1::cool1::cool1:

Thank you JohnyB2 and specially you Bubba's mom. I actually called the Alamo at the 4-points and they said they provide a drop off service, so they'll be able to take us back to PBH. I was going to go with Budget but I was quoted $247 for 7 days and Avis wanted $329. Hertz, which would have been the easiest since it's on site, wanted $388! I always book on the Costco website because they've got the best deals. Alamo quoted me $97 for 9 days!!! It actually comes out cheaper with the coupon if I added a Saturday overnight! Anyway, thank you both for helping me with my little problem. See you on the boards. :thumbsup2
