Car rental codes- April

We are looking for some discount codes for April, Actually any rental company. Our only glitch is that we are pickig up in Myrtle Beach and dropping off in Orlando, so I know I will pay more for dro off.

You might want to try carrentals.com. I have had a ton of success renting cars from that website. I HIGHLY suggest them!

I would suggest that once you find a reasonable rate you book that and then recheck. Some companies do not charge a drop off fee while some do.

ETA: carrentals.com is a good place to start . BUT beware that it defaults to including city locations so if you see a great rate it might not be at the airport.

Most "program" codes only go 90 days out max, so April won't be available yet. The group and retailer discounts (CAA/Costco/YourCompany) are always available.

I make my best deal reservation on-line in advance, and go back when the codes come out. I currently have a reservation for an SUV (at the midsize rate) with National in March. In January I'll start looking for a discount code and add it to the reservation I already have. National allows this; YMMV with others. I also joined Emerald Lane as it speeds pickup and waves the extra driver charge for DW.

So far the best I have found is for a compact with Budget for $546., but I will keep checking. Not sure if you can add discounts to their reservations or not. I have CAA/AAA, but not sure where to put it or what to use for this code.

Thank you so much Robin for this link & reminder of this site. After doing individual searches of most of the rental agencies, I was getting CRAZY quotes of over $1000 for Spring Break week. I used the "Florida Smart Search" and got Budget for $225 base/$302.47 total w/taxes for a mini van for the week . That's cheaper than our summer vacation trip over 4th of July with Budget & great code & coupon (that was a good rate too @ $329).

Thank you so much Robin for this link & reminder of this site. After doing individual searches of most of the rental agencies, I was getting CRAZY quotes of over $1000 for Spring Break week. I used the "Florida Smart Search" and got Budget for $225 base/$302.47 total w/taxes for a mini van for the week . That's cheaper than our summer vacation trip over 4th of July with Budget & great code & coupon (that was a good rate too @ $329).

You know ... I have NEVER used the "Florida Smart Search". It does give pretty good rates! You can probably still add the coupon.

Just wondering if anyone can help. I was looking at carrentalsavers.com and couldn't find a vehicle for 8 people-just vans or SUV's for 7. There are 4 adults and 4 children in our party and we would like just 1 vehicle. We're planning for May. Any advice would be appreciated!
