Car Rental/Avis drop of ???

Hi we are going on a three day cruise in May and have a late flight home wondering about renting a car and going to beach or shopping after we get of the ship. Should we rent a car and leave it in the parking lot for the 3 days or can we rent from Avis , drop it off morn of cruise and rerent on the return day. Have always taken a car service so I need help on the best way to do this. I have read here about Avis having a drop off at the Raddison

We are also taking a 3 day cruise in May and have a late flight as well. We reserved a car from Avis for just that one day. We plan to pick it up at the port and return it to the airport. I believe we have a midsize car reserved for about 39.00 with a AAA rate.

We just did this today, with great results. Our airline flight was not until 7:30 and I didn't want to spend the day in the airport. We pre-rented a vehicle ($39.00) from avis when I had returned the car on our sailing date. When we got off the ship we asked where to go and was directed to the parking lot, an avis van came within 10 minutes and we were in our rental car within another 10 minutes, great service.

We then went to Celebration Village (something I've always wanted to do) and then on to Downtown Disney. We walked around, went to a movie (the Time Machine) and a late lunch at the House of Blues. This really made for a nice day, at the airport and on the plane home several people commented that they had been at the airport since 10:00 that morning from the cruise, I would have gone crazy, Avis was definately the way to go for us.
