Car rental after our cruise

After our Disney Cruise in December 2009, we will need to rent a car for a week to drive around the Orlando area. Can you please advise us which car rental companies are located at the Port Canaveral? Any car discount codes would be greatly appreciated.

I didn't do a DIsney Cruise last year, but did a cruise that uses the same terminal. All of the major ones are there and they have free shuttle buses. We rented our car from Avis, but if you have a CAA membership you get a discount at Hertz. They have an area where you wait for the bus, then when you see your car company you flag him down. Have fun on your cruise!

Try visiting mousesavers.com. There is a cruise section that adresses transportation. There it lists the rental companies near the port and also gives some discount codes and advice. I just booked my rentals for before and after the cruise for March --used BUDGET. Great deal if you pay when you book(40%off) We are doing a oneday for the ride from MCO to Port followed by a 3day rental for off the boat until we fly home and it cost me about $150 CANADIAN!! Good deal seeing as the DCL bus is $276 for my family of four and I would not have convenience of arriving at my leisure and having a car for the extra days after the cruise.
