Hi

Can anyone recommend a long stay car park in Ashford close to the Eurostar terminal?? We need one for 4 nights.

Thanks

As far as I know there aren't any companies that offer compeating parking to that offered by Eurostar.

The Eurostar long term car park is £11.50 per 24 hours and is very convienient.

Thanks for that. £11.50 is reasonable & if most convenient then thats what we're looking for. Thanks :thumbsup2

A few years ago we stayed at one of the travel inns in Ashford and took a cab to the eurostar on the morning. The hotel let us keep our car there for the duration. Worked out about the same as if we had parked at Ashford Eurostar, but we were much more refreshed rather than driving through thenight.

It's times like this that I wish I could tell people to park outside my house instead of paying - i'm five minutes on the bus from the International station and it makes me mad that Ashford doesn't offer any other long.term parking other than that at the station!

I think I will have a look around and see what I can find for the future trips of you guys. I'm so lucky to live so near and have easy access and I wish I could share it with you all!!

Maybe I should also look into which travel lodge/premier inn etc is nearest etc. Some are on the other side of town and take longer/more expensive to travel to the station from by cab.

However I do recommend hotels that are nearest junction 9 (M20) as the taxi ride is easier and also there is a cinema, burgerking, pizza hut, frankie and bennies, KFC and a beefeater all in the same block. Oh and a nightclub and fitness center :-)

Roon, that may be an idea! Have you any idea what travel inn it was?

Hi, I'm sure it was Ashford North. Premier Travel Inn

There were two at the time, when I asked the question about parking one said we couldn't leave the car but the other was very obliging.

I have had a look and there appears to be a third premier inn now.

It was lovely because we just drove down the evening before and had a good nights sleep, cab to eurostar was only about five minutes if that.

I suppose it depends where you have to travel from. My son was quite young then and he used to be worn out by the time the eurostar arrived at Disney, but with waking up the morning of travel and just a little ride to the Euro, he was in fine form.

Hope it helps.

Wish I were you Lisa I would never be away from Disney living so close to the tunnel. It's always the travelling that makes us think twice and only have the one visit a year.

Lol, I wish everyone lived here then we could all go together!! It's pretty hard finding people to go with, but now Dad and Stepmum have caught the bug I think it's about time to sort out an A.P!! The 40% offer is brilliant though right now isn't it? I think once they realise how easy it is (we went on a surprise coach trip for NYE) they will want to go more often ;-)

And I totally understand about the travel, I dread the idea of flying as I have to stay over night before I fly, puts me right off :-( At least the train takes us all straight to the park and there's no hassle at the other end :thumbsup2

Thanks Roon, I'll give the ones you mentioned a ring and see if any of them will allow the car to be left for the 4 nights.

And Lisa thanks too....any further info on the area would be most appreciated, we're not going til Sept so still have a wee while left to get our travel sorted.

Thanks again x

We booked the Holiday Inn at Ashford Central. It does a Eurostar Special which is 1 nights bed & breakfast, parking for your car for the holiday, and taxi to and from the station all included in the price. I think we paid about £85 for 4 of us, which I thought wasn't too bad just for bed & breakfast alone, plus all the extras. :goodvibes

Sounds ideal :thumbsup2

Holiday Inn sounds great as the price that is quoted for the premier inns is just for the room and bed, breakfast is extra andthen there is the taxi there and back.

Might look into that one myself.

Just had a quick look on Holiday Inn website and for the dates I need the package is £97. Good price considering all that it includes.

I think that is very good as your car park could be £60-00. You will get breakfast for all of you, which if you were eating at the station or the eurostar would be a good £20-00 and then you also get your transport to and from the station.

Also you wake up lovely and refreshed all of you ready for your magical experience. Sounds great

It's a really nice hotel, easy to find and do a very good breakfast too!!Just what you need to start the 1st day at disney! there is also a harvester just over the road as well as the services with burger king not far if you didn't want to eat at the hotel.

Hi,

We are just back from Eurodisney, we stayed at the Ashford International Hotel booked through Superbreak, it was £69.00 for 2 adults & 2 children (midweek night) Bed & Breakfast. When I rang the hotel direct I was quoted £119.00!!!!

It was a total bargain, it is a really lovely hotel, we were given a King Deluxe Room (which included robes, mineral water, room had flat screen tele & it included Car Parking for 5 days. Taxi to/from train station was £7.00 each way (hotel booked our taxi & were very helpful).

Hope this helps,

Hello, we always book through the Ashford Tourist Board. We have booked again for this year. We are paying £69 to include breakfast and either 2/3 days free parking. As we stay before we go and on way back this includes all our free parking. You have to pay for own taxi but that does not cost much. They take 10% deposit and I think £3.50 booking fee ... they are always lovely to speak to there. This is our first time at Holiday Inn Ashford Central, we used to stay at the Ashford International but because they have refubished, their prices have risen dramatically.

To be honest I don't rate the Hotel International as their prices are way to steep! Unless you are on a honeymoon then I would stay clear. We use our kellog swim vouchers there though lol :-)

I did ring superbreak BUT midweek it was £69 but on a saturday night they upped it by quite a bit ... and with three rooms needed it adds up. I much preferred the Ashford International BEFORE they spent millions on doing it up. We liked it because after a long drive to Ashford the children could go swimming which the Holiday Inn Central has not got ... have been told leisure centre not far from there so might have to do that to keep them quiet !
