Car or Cab

Coming to Stay in Disney for 11 days in December. I would like to go to the big premium outlet mall,(Christmas shopping) Is it cheaper to cab it or to rent a car for the day? . And can I rent a car from the resort? I will be staying at OKW

....last time we stayed at OKW and SSR we reserved at the Hilton across the street from DDT. We were able to get tons done in a day that we could not have done with a cab....

I get the car for a day or 2 in the long run it will be cheaper, and you will get more done then spending your time waiting for a cab...
