Car journeys you have split into two?

We just got back from a Disney trip where we split the trip down stopping overnight in Chattanooga before continuing on to Ft. Myers for a couple days before doubling back to Orlando (with an afternoon at Venice Beach on the way). We then split the return by stopping in St. Augustine for the day before finishing our drive home. The return was a bit rough with 2 hours the first day and 14 the next but I really love St. Augustine so I just wanted to spend a bit more time there.

I don’t ever spilt trips unless it’s just way too far for one day. I LOVE road trips and driving 12+ hours doesn’t bother me a bit. I play my music and enjoy the scenery. Coming back home from the Grand Canyon this summer we did split it into 2 12-13 hour days. The longest we ever did was 21 hours straight to didneyworld. Left at 5AM and got in at 1AM. Longest I’ve done by myself was coming home from Colorado and driving through Rocky Mtn national park on the way. That was 19 hours of driving. I got in at 1AM and was at work by 8 AM. That was a rough day, we were coming off an 18 day, 5000+ mile road trip
