Hi all:wave2:

Just wondering what's the best way to go about hiring car next year. We are spending 3 weeks in florida next year, after 9 days in orlando we are doing the disney cruise for a week, then 5 days in st petes.

Would i be better hiring a car for 3 weeks and leaving it at the port for a week, or does anyone know of any hire company that i could hire for 9 days, then go on cruise, then hire for 5 days.( Picking up car and dropping off at MCO).

I'm pretty sure your best bet is to find a company with a hire depot near the port. You would then pick up your car at MCO, and drop off at the port. Then when you come back from your cruise you'd pick up another at port and drop off at MCO.

When we flew into MCO and out of Fort Myers, we just picked up the car at MCO and dropped it off at Fort Myers with no problem at all.

Dollar, Alamo, National, Avis and Hertz (I think) all have rentals at MCO, and I should imagine all will have them near the port. Not sure where the cruise line goes from.

Try asking your question on the cruise forum, the Americans will help you!
