Car Hire

Hi everyone

My sister and I are going to WDW next april for 2 weeks, its my sisters first time there and her first time abroad!! I have been once before 5 years ago, we are staying at POR but are planning on hiring a car cause we want to visit some other places. I dont drive but my sister does however having never hired a car we just have a few questions
a. Im paying for the trip but as my sister is the driver will the car booking need to be in her name or can I do it in mine and pay for it from my account?
b. I have heard that when you get to the car hire place you need to have a credit card as some sort of guarantee this is not a problem for me as I have one but my sister hasn't and doesn't have a job so is unlikely to get one as she is the driver does she need the credit card or is it ok for me to have it?
c. When prebooking the car with all the insurances and tank of fuel included is that everything I need to pay for or will there be anything extra when we pick the car up?
d. Does the car have to be returned with a full tank or an empty one?

Sorry if these questions are really stupid just very nervous about the whole thing

Hi and welcome to the forums,no questions are stupid as you wouldn't ask if you knew the answer.This is my view
Q1 If your sister is on the same booking as yourself anyone on it can drive.
Q2 They will take any persons credit card from your party
Q3 If getting the gold/platinium insurance theres no extras to pay,though they may try to sell you addons like breakdown or a sat nav.
Q4 With the gold/platinium insurance a full tank is included so take it back as low as possible without running out.I can never judge it right.

As pp said, but not sure if Gold Ins includes petrol, you will get a full tank but they will tell you to bring it back empty and you will be charged for it being refilled

Each company has different names for their top tier insurance.
Alamo is "fully inclusive" and gold for the one with the first tank of fuel.
Dollar is "fully inclusive" and platinium for the one with the first tank of fuel.
Usrentacar is "Silver" and gold for the one with the first tank of fuel.

Just check the websites when booking.I prefer the ones with the free tank as they workout cheaper most times.
