Am pricing up a trip to Florida with Virgin for next September, have never hired a car before but my mate that I'm travelling with is a driver so we'll be renting a car this time round. When I include a car on the quote, it adds £60 and then states I can add extra insurance for £21 per day - I assume that I'm getting third party included in the £60.

Bearing in mind that I don't drive and therefore this is new to me (plus the fact that I'm quite thick! :rolleyes1 ), is the third party ok for us or do we need to add on the additional insurance? :confused3

Adding a car to a Virgin holiday is probably the most expensive way of renting a car.
Don't take the car with the package, rent it separate. Other people with recommend other companies but our fave is Airlinenetwork.co.uk they use Dollar same as Virgin but a lot cheaper.
eg. 24 nights next August Virgin want over £800 for a full size car, Airnet is just over £500.
You get an initial price with them the you can add platinum cover for £2/day (full tank of gas and additional drivers)
If you do use Dollar then join Dollar express on their website, its free but you have to give info. Can save upto a hour when you collect your car, you go right to the front of the line.
Yes you need full insurance, wether its with the rental company or your own Annual policy.
