Car hire times with alamo

Hi did my online check in,
Times our pick up 5pm orlando int
Return 1pm orlando int.

Now im obiv hoping ill be picking the car up a little earlier than 5 so im not to worried about that, however i wasnt planning on dropping the car back till around 4pm as my agreement says 1pm and their is no where i can alter this time, will i face a charge if i bring the car back later than 1 pm?
Im sure they wont be, but thought id ask here as i wont be going to a desk in the airport.

All car rentals work on a 24 hour rental period. The time you enter online means nothing. If you collect the car at 4:30pm your rental agreement starts at that time and ends at that time when you return the car.

We came back last week and only had to return it 1 and a half hours before departure and that was with Alamo.

After you have picked your car you need to give your documents before leaving so maybe you could check with the person on leaving the airport.

Yeah i will ask on leaving the airport, just always like the safe knowledge of help on here, so im no thinking about it before the holiday.

They usually give you a little extra time too. Check your collection time on pick up though as you have checked in on-line.

In May we had a delay getting into Orlando due to the ash cloud and we picked up the car around 6.45pm, on our return we also had a delay and decided to not stay in the airport and go to the cinema as we weren't due to fly until 11pm, we went to check at the count how much it would be if we kept the car for an extra hour and found out that our car was invoiced out at 2.45pm (day we arrived) as we had checked in on-line and they knew the flight was due in at 2.45pm so they pre did the paperwork at that time (even though we had a delay and didn't get in until 6pm.
Even if our flight was on time to go home we would still have been late dropping the car off as we only ever arrive 2 hours prior to flight (6pm) this was their fault for pre checking out the car.

From now on we will always check the time on the invoice when we pick the car up.
