Car hire question

I was just looking at car hire for 2 weeks in sept, for a mid SUV from Dollar, on netflights it is £280 and on dollar site it's £350, I would of liked to go direct, so I emailed dollar about it but got a blunt email refusing in return. So the question is, is this standard for hire cars - cheaper via middle man?

Just did a quick search on Netflights, cheapest SUV type way Rav4 or similar at £302, couldn't see anything at £280 for 14 nights.

Thanks for that, the car hire is from sanford for 2 weeks starting on 4th sept.
Netflights seem to be the cheapest at the minute just checked them all, what would you advice book now or wait, £280 is not a bad price, it seems to have come down in the past couple of weeks.

Prices have dropped, I might be tempted to wait another few weeks, as long as the exchange rate doesn't go against you again then there could be better deals. But as you say its better now than it has been recently.

That with Netflights looks a great deal, same 2 weeks from MCO is £302.
Netflights are a good company, used them for years they just got too expensive, now looks like they are being competative again.

Just checked they also give 5% cashback thru Quidco which works out at £14. If you have an account you get the full cashback, if you have to create an account they take the 1st £5/year, nothing if you dont earn anything. If you know nothing about cashback sites then read about them, I have had over £1,500 cashback in 3 years.

Thanks for the info, i'll look into it, I hoping the rate will improve so i'll give it few weeks, it a gamble.
