Haha so I'm a little bit stressed with our planning. bf officially knows and is excited, when I said let's plan everything to get it booked he said oh no you can plan it all your much better at it! Typical & no pressure at all....!

So we're on the DDP & staying at SSR! Now DBF wants to do discovery cove & Busch Gardens whilst we're there on top of everything else, so it's going to be a busy 8 days!

Now I don't want to gaff with buses and I've seen it's about 1hr20mins from SSR to Busch Gardens, Alamo are throwing back $56 for an Economy car for 2 days from Orlando WD car centre. Which is OK but where is this car centre? Would they drop it off to SSR for me? And pick it up? I want it from 7am Saturday until 9pm Sunday.

Does it come with fuel & I just need to top it back up? Or does it come empty & I have to pay for what I use? Average fuel cost in USA? What is the journey like, it looks relatively straight forward!

Sorry for all the questions but I didn't factor in that he'd want to go to Busch Gardens! Ha! It's his trip so it's completely fine :)

We're hopefully going to get the discovery cove/Seaworld/Busch gardens combo ticket which is $279 on offer currently? I figured we'd do all 3 in a 2 day busy period!

It also means I've squeezed in 2 signature dinning places as we'll be out for 2 days. I've picked Jiko & Monsiour Paul!

Also do I need a permit to drive out there? I'm 25, driving 5 years clean licence etc :)

The last thing you want to do is rent a car direct with a car rental company and pay in $'s. The price they quote is only for the car, on arrival you would have to pay for insurance, fees taxes, and anything else they can think to add on at the time. Book with a UK agent and get all an all inclusive rate. If you post your dates I will help out with a price.

Car Care Centre do a collection service from Disney hotels. Info here with phone number to arrange a pick up http://disneycarcare.co.uk/

Gas prices are on this site http://www.orlandogasprices.com/ around $3.50/gallon. Fuel policy varies rental to rental. You need to check with who you book with, it will be in T&C's.

The International driving permit is not required IMO but others disagree, the Florida lawmakers made a mess up of the law this year, they are just in the process of changing it back. I won't be getting one for our trip next trip in 3 weeks.

Wayne thank you! I'm literally looking for Saturday 4th May 7am until Monday 6th May 7am! So 48 hours :)

I thought there price in $'s was there all inclusive price! Useless.

Well we go in 6 weeks so if your not bothering I won't either!

Above link gives 15% off and gives intructions how to get cashback.
Economy car £39.95 add max for tank of gas and additional driver (even if you don't want extra driver its worth £12.78 for gas)
New total £52.73 less 11% Quidco = £46.93

Just recently there has been codes for 10% off and Quidco upto 16% cashback. Neither available just now but on a 2 day rental it won't make a massive rental.

If you Google about the international driving permit in Orlando you will get lots of info, some believe its worth getting others not. You need to make your own decision on it. They are in process of changing the law but it hasn't gone thru yet.
