Hiya All.

Just wondering if anyone's caught a bargain recently or are holding on like me for prices to drop.

My concern is we need a 7 seater and I'm worrying that if I wait too long then we'll be left with having to use an off site company at silly money!

Not seen any bargains this year, I need a 7 seater for 18 nights. I think it was Mar/Apr I booked last year, not panicing yet.:goodvibes

Just checked it was the 16th April I booked last year for last August.

Hi guys

Looking to book for April/May

Usually use Floridacarhire but getting slightly cheaper for 4 door intermediate on Usrentacar - who would you recommend?

:wizard:

I used to use USRentacar but last couple of years find them expensive. Post your dates & price and I will see if I can find cheaper, will be tomorrow now as I have to be up at 4am.

4dr intermediate

27th April to 10th May

Floridacarhire -308
Usrentacar - 296

We have always used usrentacar and can't fault them.:thumbsup2

Usually opt for a dollar option as I love the convenience of being a dollar express member and simply walking out to the garage to collect your keys:)

Is that with Gold?
Do you want additional driver?

If you do then USrentacar is a fair price, can beat it by about £8 but that involves cashback, probably not worth the saving.

If you don't need extra driver ebookers have a sale on Budget rentals, £224 less 8% Quidco = £206 or upgrade to SUV for £255 less 8% = £234.

Thanks Wayne

Prices don't seem that different really.
We go for Gold option with the tank of fuel and additional drivers, although "him indoors" rarely drives.

Think i'll try usrentacar instead of FCH this time - you would recommend them??

Used USrentacar 2 or 3 times no problem, I have just found their prices too high for our dates for the last 2 years. I did book with them for last August but paid an extra £10 to allow cancellations, glad I did as I found a better price elsewhere. No problems with the company its just their prices for me, if you are happy with the price then no hesitation recommending them.

Thanks again.......excellent advice and help as always

We just booked for August this year with Dollar.... 14 days from Miami, Dodge Avenge 4dr intermediate car.... £260 seemed a good price did some shopping online most around the £300 mark...

Thanks to everyone on the thread, this came up just at the right time as I was just starting to think about car hire for our upcoming Aug trip.

I usually use usrentacar but like Wayne said, they are not as competitive this year as usual. Anyhow after some of the comments, I checked out floridaescapes and got a good price, but also checked floridacarhire and noticed they had a price beat policy. Gave them a call and they have knocked £50 off their internet price so they have beat floridaescapes by £10, so I have got a 4 door economy for 2 weeks all inclusive for £200. I'm really happy that I only had to pay a £50 deposit too. :yay:

Thanks everyone!!!!! :grouphug:

Was that direct with dollar.com? That's a pretty good price. I have been getting around he £400 mark for 19 days full size but I keep asking myself if we really need a full size. We are going to be doing a lot of driving this trip though so I suppose it's important ot have plenty of space.
