I WONDERED IF ANYONE COULD GIVE ME SOME DETAILED FEEDBACK FROM USING ALAMO CAR RENTAL.
I GOT 2 WEEKS RENTAL FOR LESS THAN £95 PER WEEK USING THE PRICELINE.CO.UK ONLINE BOOKING.

Hi Jade90,

We used Alamo at Orlando last year and were not particularly impressed:

- there were not enough buses picking up passengers from the terminal and we had to wait 20+ minutes to get on one, even then we all had to stand.

- the Alamo lot is a fair way from the terminal, around 15 minutes as I remember.

- the queues at the checkin were very long.

- the car we got was dirty and had a surprisingly high mileage on it.

- on the way back, the return process was painfully slow and we eventually had to abandon our car in the Alamo lot or we would have missed our flight home.

Now, there's no need to panic. Most of these are fairly minor gripes and unless you're particularly fussy then they will not stop you from enjoying your holiday.

HI,
I WAS IN ORLANDO AND MIAMI OVER CHRISTMAS 2002 AND NEW YEAR 2003. I GOT AN UPGRADE FROM AN ECONOMY TO FULL SIZE CAR. ALAMO ARE NOW LOCATED ONSITE AT THE AIRPORT WHICH IS EXCELLENT. I HAD NO PROBLEMS WITH MY VEHICLE CONSIDERING I TRAVELLED MORE THAN 1500 MILES AROUND FLORIDA.

CONSIDERING IT WAS MY FIRST TIME DRIVING IN THE US ON DIFFERENT LANES FROM THE UK, ROAD SIGNS AND MASSIVE ROADS I FOUND DRIVING AROUND VERY EASY AND SAFE. PROBABLY BECAUSE THE ROAD LANES ARE SO MUCH WIDER TO ACCOMANDATE SUCH LARGE VEHICLES AND TRAFFIC.

I HOPE EVERYONE HAS AN EQUALLY GOOD EXPERIENCE WITH THEIR CAR HIRE.
AFTER SAVING A COOL $300+ FOR MY FREE UPGRADE I WILL DEFINATELY USE PRICELINE AGAIN FOR MY RENTAL NEEDS.

I've always booked Dollar but noticed over Xmas that Alamo are now on airport at Orlando, so now I'll be checking prices.
