Car hire big jump

Ired an intermediate SUV for two weeks feb 14 and was £280. Looking now for 29th of sept for 15 nights and coming out as £600 before I add any car seats.

What's going on? Exchange rate? The fact I booked nearer the time last time?

I'm experiencing the same I looked up prices for our trip this May before Christmas and it was £180 but stupidly didn't book the same car is now £254. Gggggrrrr annoyed with myself

Car rentals often drop closer to travel date. Keep looking and rebook if the price drops. The exchange rate is probably also having an effect.

Your right which surprised me by over £200. I always assumed virgin would be the most expensive!
