I have rented from Thrifty more than once and had good experiences. You have to take a shuttle to the rental counter, but I found it to be very quick. If you can join their "Blue Chip" program, I would recommend it. It allows you to skip possible long lines at the counter.
One thing ... do inspect the car carefully before driving off. They once found a ding on a door and wrote up a damage report which they made me sign. I didn't have proof that the ding was there before I took the car because I arrived at midnight and it was dark when I inspected the car too quickly. They never charged me for the ding, but they could have. Ever since, I make sure the car I accept has any damage listed before I drive away.
Just used Thrifty this past November. No problems and received a great price. However, I do agree with the previous poster that you need to check the cars carefully. Thrifty actually makes you sign a form that you list all dings, etc... and initial. I can understand at night how this is a problem. If you are arriving at night, maybe you might want to take along a small flashlight to use to inspect the car. Me and the family will be heading to Disney Vero Beach this June and actually got a great deal on a mini van with Dollar Car Rental. Dollar is located in the airport. Good luck.
