car & driving fear? please reply!

Just wanted everyone to know, I drove home today, about a 30-40 minute drive. I drove past the spot of the accident, I can't believe I did it, but i did. I am going to try driving home and back everyday and then one day soon venture out by myself and see how I do.

I didn't get my license until I was 32 because just the idea of driving was that scary to me. That was 6 years ago, and I can't tell you how much I regret wasting soooo much time not driving, not having my independence, having to wait around for rides or call cabs/take public transport ... ugh... that just sucked!

OP, my only advice to you is this: Don't let fear ruin your life. Be strong and keep in mind that you're in control of your life. You can do it!

you just have to get back on the horse or bike or what ever the saying is.

Do research on the savest car you can afford, one with a good history of saftey.

Use your seat bealt, and common sense like not talking on phone or fiddling with the radeo.

You can also take a safty corse or read a book on it to make yourself feel better.
