Capture your moment - walk up success?

Hey all you beautiful people! Has anyone had any success with capture your moment walk ups or have seen last minute cancelations? It seems like Capture Your Moment is all the buzz and all the reservations are gone!

We went in January and were able to book a same day Capture your Moment session on a Friday in MK! It popped up and disappeared a few times, so definitely keep checking.

We tried two times when we visited in Summer 2021 - we were able to stop into the Main Street Theater and get a same day reservation at Magic Kingdom, but when we tried to get a same-day at Animal Kingdom, we were turned away. We didn't see availability on the app for same day at all, but MK had someone walking around the hub with a sign that said something like "Ask me about booking a Capture your moment session" and that CM directed us to Main Street Theater to sign up for a timeslot.

Keep trying. Close to the trip and the days leading up to our MK day, sporadic time slots would pop up. I was even able to change my time the day before because of this. I found times became available overnight so try and check then too.

I think people cancel all the time so ya, it's worth it to keep checking!

I think especially try the day before you want the session because there is a 24 hour cancellation period so that's when I'd be checking most.

I read somewhere travel agents were booking these to offer to their clients so that's why it is competitive and there end up being slots the day before. Not sure how accurate that is though.
