To Cape May or Not to Cape May...that is the question...Now what's the answer?

We have dined at both, Capt Grill is alot quieter and calmer and the pork chop is excellent but I would rather go to Cape May, we love it there and out of 6 trips have never had a bad meal there...crowded and crazy yes but the food is always A+

Go to Cape May.
We were there at the end of Febuary for dinner and breakfast.
Breakfast has characters, dinner does not.
Good food and Disney atmosphere....

Still haven't solidifed my plan for our DHS day. I am deciding between 50s Prime Time, or taking the boat to Capts. Grille or Cape May. Please tell me the order you would try to get ADRS for starting with the one that's the best overall experience, to the worst or "least best."

Are you going to be wanting to go back to DHS after you eat? We're going to try 50's PTC this year because I'm tired of leaving the park to eat all the time! I've been reading reviews the past few days and it seems like good food and fun :)

Prime Time good food & fun my first choice
Capt. Grill was very good to. We were suprised.

Prime Time would be my first choice. We always have a great time there and the food is great. (Try the pot roast!)

Cape May would be my second choice, followed by Captain's Grille.

We have been to all three and really enjoy all three for different reasons but I would go with Cape May because the ribs and chicken are fantastic and DH is a littleneck clam lover

OT, sorry, but are the portions at Prime Time big enough for two?

It really depends on your appetite, but I think they are. They aren't as large as the portions at the Rainforest Cafe or T-Rex, but DD and I often share meals there. We usually do end up sharing dessert or an appetizer as well though. If you have a large appetite I think you're going to want to get your own entree.

Prime Time just to enjoy the fun theming. I have also found the food to be good there (we found the fried chicken dinner to be huge...it's like 4 pieces/half a chicken).
Plus, you won't lose an hour to two hours of transport time.

However, if the park is crowded and you really want to just get away....the boat ride over to the epcot resorts area is just lovely.
We are trying captain's grille on our upcoming trip. The yachtclub is a beatiful and quiet resort area.

On our DHS Day:

A.) Stay at the park and eat at 50s PT

B.) Take a boat ride to Cape May and eat their buffet, then return to DHS
(About how much time would this take for say a 7:00 ADR?)

C.) Take a boat ride to Capts. Grille and eat there (and again, about how long would this take out of our time at HS?)

Please, everyone, vote. Its my very last decision to make and my ADRs will be complete...assuming I can get the one that wins..I already have 50s PT, but will try to get a different one if I need to based on your opinion....but I'll cross that bridge later on...LOL

I would go with 50s Prime Time...it is quite an atmosphere and fun

It really depends on how much time you'll have in the parks. Allow at least an hour for getting out of and back into the park, waiting for and taking the boat over to Cape May.

If you haven't been to 50's Prime Time before, I would just eat there. It's a fun place and the food is very good. :)

If you have a number of things to do at DHS, stay there and do PT. If you feel you'd like to get out of the park for a while I like Cape May.

I have not taken the boats from DHS, but I'd *guess* you'd want to allow 30-45 minutes each way. Seems like transportation always takes a bit longer than you'd expect.:earsboy:

50's Prime Time! It's a great experience and the food is very good. Try the pot roast. It is to. die. for.

we don't like to come and go and come back again -
so much wasted time....waiting for the bus or walking to the car -

if I left to go to dinner, I wouldn't come back....

stay in the park - with the theming...

that's what I would do!
