If I may interject just a moment here...
There has been a question PMed to me about the timing of the vote count and whether or not I "jumped the gun" in declaring a winner. That's a very valid question IMO, considering who I declared the winner to be and the fact that the time stamp on the tally post says that it was 33 minutes before voting was scheduled to end.
And no, before you ask it was not PoohJenn who PMed me, so please don't start accusing her of sour grapes.
In case anyone else was wondering, however, no I did not jump the gun according to the clock on my computer, the clock on my cell phone, and the clock on my office phone... and while all three of these agree that as I type this line it is 2:52 p.m. CST (3:52 p.m. EST), the clock at the bottom of this page says that it is 01:54 PM CST (and yes, the DST settings have been adjusted). I do apologize if this discrepancy has led anyone else to believe that I crowned myself too early.
Having said that however, that brings up the question of whose time to use. Do y'all want to go strictly by DISboards time stamps or keep with regular "clock on the wall" time (ignore the time stamps)? Either way is fine by me, just state your preference along with your choice for this week's winner when we start voting tomorrow.
Thanks!
