Captain's Plan Boat Rental??

I've seen mention of both The Captains Plan and LOS options for boat rentals. I have a few questions...first, are you limited to the number of people you can place on a contract? Does anyone have a difinitive answer on switching from one WDW Resort to another w/out lapse - specifially if you are switching and show a copy of your second ressie, can you get continous pass? We go in August with 20+ people...all staying at BWV's but would rent at either CR or WL. Of course, this is mostly for the guys so you can drop the number down to about 15 people - lol!! Thanks for any info!
