I'm looking for somewhere different to eat. Does anyone enjoy the food here at dinner?

We enjoyed our meal at Captain Grille..However we usually stay at the beach club I don't think I would go out of my way to eat here for dinner. It's a good restaurant but nothing spectacular imo.

Umm i thought it was pretty good.

Its different because it is mostly seafood. The crab legs are amazing :thumbsup2

We had dinner there & I can say the crab legs were excellent. The steak was not good at all IMO. The steak was thin & overcooked. I would definitely go back for the crab legs though.

Yes, my DH and I had dinner here last year and it was great! We were at Epcot for the day and then walked over to the Yacht Club for dinner. They have a great variety there, I'm surprised it's not more popular! :thumbsup2

The crab cakes are good.

They offer the Captain's Grille Experience, which allows guests on the regular DDP to have an appetizer without paying extra.

We have found CG to be a nice break from the 2 nearby parks and you can take the boat from either park.

The Captains Grill has been one of my most pleasant discoveries at WDW; we go there everytime we are back. I think the food and service is very good. Unlike a pp, I always find the steak to be excellent.

Perhaps what I like most about the Captains Grill is it is not an over-the-top WDW themed restaurant. It is a simple nautical themed restaurant which I find a pleasant break for a couple of hours from WDW themed sensory overload. :thumbsup2

We were there last week and both had steaks - they were terrible. Tough and not cooked properly.

Maybe the seafood would be better. If you are in the area, it would be worth checking out but I really wouldn't recommend the either of the strip steaks on the menu.

It's great. We each had the pork chop and loved it! In the future, we'll probably go there instead of anywhere at DHS.

I had this last year - it was awesome! I had the ceaser salad, Crab cakes and cheese cake. My DH had the steak and said it was good, and DD just ordered butter noodles but loved the brownie kabob for dessert!

As a pp said its nice to take a break from all the theaming and just eat at a nice restaurant.

Last year this was our last full day dinner, we didn't have an ADR here originally however the forcast was for heavy rain all day, we had scheduled dinner for WCC after a full day at MK. Because of the forcast we decided to still go to MK but knew we wouldn't want to be soaking wet for dinner. We cancled WCC that morning and asked for availability at CG - it was available for 8:45. We took the ADR even though it was late, when we returned from MK around 6:00 we went up to our room (at the YC) and took looong hot showers. We headed downstairs around 8:00 and checked in --they told us they would try to get us in early. We went next door to have a cocktail and befor our drinks were even ready our buzzer was going off!

We ate there in July on our first night at Beach Club. I had crab legs and loved them! DH had a steak that was good, but not great.

We also had appetizers - a sampler I think - and it was great!
Nice restaurant, but probably not something I'd go out of my way for.

We ate there at the end of September and it was very good. We both had some kind of bourbon steak and they were cooked to perfection. I remember because it seems that we always have problems getting a medium steak cooked right.:)
