Captain's Grille

Tell me about Captain's Grille? We are going next week and never have gone before. What are the good menu items and what is the atmosphere like. Thanks

I think the Captain's Grille is an overlooked restaurant. Given the quality, it should be more "in demand." I enjoy it because it is quiet and it's one of the few restaurants I haven't had difficulty getting into without an ADR. I found the food to be very good.

I think I usually get a Salmon Dish with lemon butter sauce and mashed potatoes with ham.

We're also big fans - we go here every trip, and I second the comment about how quiet it is. Not quiet as in, eating dinner at the country club with your great aunt in a starched shirt quiet ... more like quiet as in, being able to have actual conversations without worrying about the next table eavesdropping and having no ringing in your ears as you leave. The atmosphere is casual, the service has always been very friendly and accomodating, and the food is great. I alternate between the chops and the prime rib, and my travelmates enjoy the salmon dish mentioned in the prior post (i'm not a huge fan of salmon in any incarnation but sushi).

We do not care for the breakfast there, tried it twice and both times it was pretty blech

Loved our dinner there, excellent pork chops and roasted chicken, the salads are out of this world and great cocktails too. Nice and quiet setting, we even saw 2 brides posing for pictures in the lobby.

We thought the Grille was a gem on our recent stay. I had the wedge salad (beautiful presentation as three small wedges in line on a plate, so easily shared with DH) and the prime rib. Very good. Funny, but I don't recall what DH had, but I remember he liked it alot. Service was efficient, and the atmosphere was a nice respite from the hectic parks. Enjoy!
