Hi!

Has anyone eaten here and what did you think? Is it quite a formal restaurant?

I like the look of the menu but I can't find many mentions of it in reviews!

Thanks! :thumbsup2

We have eaten lunch there our last three trips and we'll be doing that again in June. It's not formal at all. Our entire family enjoyed their meals each time.

Not formal at all. Paper napkins, formica and wood table tops and vinyl covered chairs pads. Reminded me of a newly remodeled IHOP on the inside.

But most importantly--as you said--the menu appeals to you....so who cares what anyone else says? Everyone's taste is different.

Ditto! If you haven't been to a place, try it out! Then you will know whether you like it or not, regardless of what anyone else thinks.

That being said, I have been to CG a couple times and like it just fine. I will be going again when we go to WDW next week.

Here's a pic (in case you haven't seen it):

I had ADR's here in November but ended up cancelling as the closer the trip got the more I was less excited about eating here. I will try it one day!

Best service, Best steak, Best glass of wine in our entire trip aug '08. Very relaxing, and was highly recommended by the concierge at our resort.Kids loved thier meal,also.:cheer2:

We stayed at the YC(1/25-2/1) last week and decided to eat at the Captains Grille only because we wanted to just relax and stay close to the resort. I'm glad that I didn't change the ADR. I ordered the NY Strip and it was very good. The desserts were my favorite of all the restaurants we ate at. Would I call it a great place? no. But it was one of the better places we ate at that week. I liked it better than Coral Reef and Boma's when we were there.

We ate there last April and the food was sooo good, would eat there again in a heartbeat!

This is a nice place to eat. Not Formal at all. We had a great dinner.
