We are on the ddp, with FD in mid Nov. Adding a few more adr's now with the ddp. Wondered about a few things here at the Capt's Grille. The lobster roll sounds yummy with lobster, but what exactly is it? How is the grilled steak salad(without blue cheese, yech!) Fish sounds good, is it? Also, what is vegetable orzo? Thanks very much!

Classic New England Lobster Roll - served on a butter toasted split-top bun with a choice of Vegetable Orzo Salad or fries $17.99

Grilled Sirloin Steak Salad - with Field Greens, tomatoes, carrot curls, cucumbers, red onions, blue cheese, and roasted red pepper ranch dressing $14.99

Fish and Chips - battered cod, with coleslaw and Tartar Sauce served with Vegetable Orzo Salad or fries
$13.99

Most of the time we do this restaurant it is for breakfast, which is very good, or a cheeseburger with fries, which is also very good..

I am sure that it has fine food, just have not sampled what you are specifically asking.. hopefully others have.

I had the best pork chop of my life at the Capt Grille. It was so tender and flavorful...

The salads are to die for, the wedge and the caesar were excellent

I've never eaten there, but a lobster roll is usually lobster meat in a mayonnaise based dressing sort of like tuna salad. They typically serve it in a toasted buttered roll that looks like a hot dog bun. Orzo is often confused with rice because it looks like rice but it's actually pasta. It's small rice shaped pasta that I'm assuming since it says vegetable salad, is either mixed with a vinegar based dressing or mayonnaise.

Like I said, I've never eaten there but I hope the description of the dishes helps! Have a good trip! :)

Yes, the description definitely help for sure, thanks a lot! Sounds good, so anyone else have any thoughts on this restaurant? Had the lobster roll? :goodvibes

the vegetable orzo is fantastic! It's like little pasta with veggies mixed in, served cold.
I love the mozz. and tomato sandwich and DH loves the turkey sandwich (except this year, he will ask for it to be altered, because they changed it to add apples and onions?)
We really haven't tried much more than this but we go for lunch every trip

We went to Captains Grille for the b-fast buffet a couple times. We loved it. If you are not strapped for time and could wait a moment or two, you don't even need an ADR. We plan several resort days during our stays, and nothing like waking up when you feel like it, strolling on down to your lobby and getting a TS b-fast. :goodvibes

WC should take a cue from this....leave some tables for the resorts guests to eat b-fast in their own resort. (But that's a whole other thread).
