Captain's Grille - Summer ADRs now Available at Ariel's

Hi everyone,
Captain's Grille has a great, low-key breakfast (a la carte or buffet) and we are trying to book for late July. The system is showing no availability for any party size, at any time, all week. What's up!? I called the dining reservation line to ask if it's closed that week, but the rep I spoke with did not see any advisories and said "this is highly unusual" and that it must be "an inventory issue" (which he could not elaborate on further). He offered to report it and said that I should give them a couple of days and try again. Interesting! Anyone ever encounter anything like this with trying to make an ADR? No big deal if we can't eat there; now I'm just curious!

YC has been putting off their refurbishment for quite a while and I believe some of the eateries will be affected. If the unavailability isn't due to a delay in loading the tables, which happens frequently, then it could be because of the renovations that have been expected. We're staying there in June and would love it if WDW would share some info!

The rumor is that it will be closed for refurbishment. Folks have been unable to book for June as well. No announcement either way at this point

Thanks for the replies. I didn't look "backwards" in time to see that this issue begins in June. Definitely sounds to me like it will be closed. But odd that they wouldn't simply say so!? Well, who knows. Lots of things the mouse has done (and not) have surprised me in recent months. Time to think about Plan B for breakfast...!

No problem! I was surprised not to have seen any posts on any threads about it yet - I didn't check the website today until right before I posted, but I imagine it was released at 8:00 AM (can't be sure though).

Hi all!
Thanks for the replies and for resurrecting this thread to let everyone know that this is now available to book. I've adjusted the thread title accordingly. We booked for July 25th & are looking forward to the opportunity to eat there during it's temporary location at Ariel's. I'm hoping the breakfast buffet is still an option (I didn't see any notice that the menu is changing while in the temporary location). I'll be checking reviews in late-May/June to see how it goes!
