Captains Grille Renovation?

We are staying in the YC in August and really wanted to try the Captains Grille but I see it will be under renovation and being moved to another empty restaurant? Does anyone if the other restaurant is nice or is it just a big room that they will be serving food in? Just wonder if it will be a nice atmosphere?

It was a signature restaurant when it opened. It is a nice room but a very different feel.

They use it for events and weddings now so who knows what furnishings they will use for the restaurant.

Anyone know if the dinner menu will be the same or will it be a smaller menu? And where exactly is the place located?

It is located between Cape May Cafe and Beaches and Cream at the BC.

Anyone know when Captains Grille will be closing?

The only reason I booked a Captain's Grille ADR today is because I'm dying to eat in Ariel's. We always stay in the Beach Club and walking by it without being able to go inside has been sad for so many years! And in regard to when the CG restaurant is closing, I believe the restaurant page on Disney Dining says "mid-May" but I don't know if a specific date has been released.
