How is the buffet? Is it fairly extensive? Do they have any "specialty" items unique to it, like the lasagna at CP? Or, do you prefer ordering off the menu?

It's a place we always consider but other things take precedence.

Eeeeeek, I couldn't get an ADR for Captain's Grille for breakfast unless we wanted to eat at 7:40 a.m. I can't believe it - I thought surely that would be one of the better places to get a last minute table!

This is the one in the Yacht club right? I ate there in December. If you have a TS to waste and no place else for an ADR then do it but otherwise I seriously do not recommend this breakfast. Most food was lacking. I love love love biscuits and gravy. Such an easy dish to do right too. Completely horrible gravy. The selection was good and the staff was friendly. It is just the food was bad and the price was your typical Disney Buffet Breakfast price.

Now that shocks me as I walked right into it the second week of December with no ADR and it was COMPLETELY empty. Three other parties in the whole place besides us.
