Looking for opinions of the Captains Grille at the Yacht Club. We have been to the World a few times and eaten in many of the "big name" restaurants, but want to try new places. Don't see too much about the Captains Grille on the boards. Any thoughts?

Thanks!!

It's quiet and never very crowded. Good food and service. It won't "wow" you, but it is a very solid meal.

DH and I ate at Captain's Grille 2 trips ago. We went for lunch, taking the boat from EPCOT. We both enjoyed it - the food was very good, as was the service. At lunch it was very UNcrowded.

This Sept. we returned, this time for dinner. Our plan had been to take the boat from DHS but our plans changed so we came right from our resort. Our ADR was for 5:30 and we were seated promptly. I think the restaurant was full within half an hour. We both selected from the Captain's Experience. DH's crab cakes were excellent but I was very disappointed in the market fish. We will definitely go back, I just won't order that again. I love having the option of a 3 course meal, especially on the DDP.

Since we are staying at BC in December, my DH wanted to eat here a couple of times (he has been looking at the menu and have been drooling over it). Therefore we have breakfast and lunch ADRs here. The breakfast fare looks pretty basic, but could anyone else who has been there for lunch comment on it....we are both looking at the lobster roll. Thanks.

I cannot comment on the lobster rolls because we don't order them since they are readily available at home (Maine). For lunch we did order the crab cake appy and a Caesar salad. These were served with rolls and it was plenty for lunch and it was very good.

Have a great trip.:cool1:

we eat lunch there every trip and enjoy it. I've never had the lobster roll but the mozarella and tomato sandwich is very good, and my DH enjoys the turkey sandwich, with a few modifications (they changed it when they changed names, it used to be his favorite sandwich in WDW, but has since been replaced by Olivia's). If they have the vegetable orzo salad as a side, it is fantastic!

We did a menu breakfast and a buffet breakfast there and we were not impressed at all.

Did dinner there and we loved it! Great food and nice and quiet place to relax
