What are you asking? What is " May CG"? Whether anyone has dined at Ariel's would go back to the late 90's, so not relevant, I don't think.

Ariel's at the Beach Club hasn't been used as a restaurant since sometime in the 90's IIRC. Yes, there have been occasional special events there, but otherwise this beautiful space just languishes unused. Sounds like the OP has heard that Captains Grill, which is going down for refurb, will operate out of the space that Ariel's occupies.

We ate at Ariel's back in the 1990's when it was a seafood restaurant at the Beach Club. According to allears it closed in 1997 and since then it has been used for private functions like weddings.

Unless there's a specific reason that you are disappointed that Captain's Grill will be closed, I would not cancel the reservation because they are just relocating the Captain's Grill operations to a different venue. If you are concerned because it is at a different resort, the Beach Club and Yacht Club are adjacent to one another.

As far as we know the menu is not changing, just the location during the major rehab of Captain's Grille. Also the Disney website and the DIS News is wrong. It is not located in the Yacht Club it is located in the Beach Club and has been since it first opened when Beach Club opened.

Next to the Martha's Vineyard bar in the BC near Cape May Buffet. The MV bartenders were very good when we have stopped in before a dinner at YSH.

I have no idea what the new space will look like but am sure it will reflect the Yacht Club. But my understanding this is a complete redo.

I hope the refurb maintains the "open" setup that CG and it's sister Cape May have. It's a nice atmosphere.

And this may be my one and only chance to eat at Ariel's - even though it won't really *be* Ariel's. I missed it during it's short lifetime in the 90s. Only visited WDW twice during '90-'97 when it was open, and wasn't so in to restaurants as I am now.
