Captain Jack Sparrow's Pirate Tutorial closing at the end of the month

Thats too bad about the citizens of Hollywood. They have always been oneof the best parts of HS. My wife loves to stop and watch their antics.

I don't know. I've never run a theme park. But I do know that people have loved the parks for nearly 50 years, and they've loved them without a gondola and without multiple new rides appearing every year. I understand the need to add and innovate, but it seems like maybe Disney has too many big expensive projects going on at one time. Is it a stockholder issue? Like they need to show a profit, even when they're undertaking multiple capital improvements? For example, the Rivera DVC will eventually pay for itself, but they need to get it finished to start selling the shares, and until then, they're in the red.

Maybe I'm way off base, but it seems like with the millions and millions of dollars they're spending on these big projects, the salaries of a few performers is just a drop in the bucket. I'd rather have the streetmosphere people and Capt Jack than a gondola or even the Tron coaster (okay, maybe I kinda do like the idea of the Tron coaster, but I'd be fine waiting a few years for it to happen).

I have two thoughts on this:
1) I agree that the people they've decided to cut have got to be saving them so little money that it can't be worth it.
2) As much as they entertain folks coming through, I think that most park goers are probably more like me, a person that may stop for about 2 minutes on my way past to the next ride or show or attraction and feel like these diversions are not what I came for.

They are great performers, but I feel that the majority of park goers won't even know that they're gone.

I understand September numbers have been down but I am surprised they are cutting all of these things in October because I keep reading about what a busy month it has become.
The fiscal year ends September 30th.

With all the FP+ glitches everyone's been having, I'm resigning myself to not being able to modify or book same day FP+ when I'm in the parks.

Plan B was counting on the more informal shows to keep us entertained when lines get crazy. But now it looks like they're yanking Captain Jack, Citizens of Hollywood, and another thread just reported Star Wars stage show is closing at the end of the month. I'm kind of wondering what will be left when we get there in November.
