Captain Jack? Pics and locations please :D

I'd LOVE some pictures of Captain Jack. DS LOVES pirates and for some reason, even though he's never seen the movies he LOVES Jack. (He's 5)

Anyone have pictures? And is he ONLY on the island or can you catch him running around too?

He is regularly scheduled to be at Pirate's Lair. However, if it is more than 90 degrees, he will not appear on the island and you can find him in New Orleans Square.

We've only seen him on the island and we were there on some HOT days. I'd upload my pics but for whatever reason the boards don't like them much.

we got this one waiting in assesible line for POTC in this pic we had told jack that rey is deaf so he bent down and (in sign) asked rey his name and rey told him jack was on his way out to walk around and wasnt planning on stopping but did for my son for a very one on one exp. and to this day this is my favorite memory of our many trips to DL

We ran into him in New Orleans Square the other morning around 11:15.

Both times Jack was so very sweet to DS. But remember, he's a pirate, and he is allowed to act like one!


Walking around NOS in January. He barely stood still, he was walking all over, almost evading people. He was ignoring adults who were being obnoxious, even turning his back on people. You'll notice the Jacks look a bit different in the above pictures ; the January Jack was the same as the September Jack (who treated a VERY obnoxious mother in a piratey way shortly before being so sweet to my son).

In the shot below he finally acknowledged a woman who had been calling to him, following him (OK I was following too, but back at the edges just to get some pix, not to get his attention), and he kept turning his back on her...he acknowledged her by asking if she knew that she had a barnacle growing on her...she's the one with the baby-carrier straps on her back. It was quite funny.

I haven't even posted this one yet, it's going up on my trip report as part of our last day. We saw him twice during our trip last week. First time was in front of ROA, talking to a young lad who was being kind of obnoxious (and there was a large crowd around him, so I didn't try to wait or get his attention)... the boy was sort of yammering on at him. He looked over the railing at the water, looked back at the boy, and interrupted him with, "Can you swim?" The boy looked startled and said, "No," and Jack just looked speculatively from him to the water and back again.

But on our last day in the parks last Thursday the 16th, we came out from our lunch at Blue Bayou about 12:30, and there he was. I was standing by just waiting to take a picture of him interacting with others, because there were quite a few people around, but he suddenly turned to me, grabbed my elbow and said, "Walk with me, love," and strolled on down the alley in NOS a bit. Oh, YES, anything you say, Jack! DD13 was snapping pictures like mad and laughing at me because I was starstruck.

We just randomly met him in NOS one morning. He wasn't very nice, which I guess is just keeping in character.

i ran into him twice! he was just walking around NOS and wouldnt stop for pictures or anything! he was kinda mean, but he was in character so its kinda funny (not to the little girl he dissed though! LOL) the second time we saw him (a nicer, much cuter jack sparrow i might add....), he did stop and if you waited in line you got to take pics and get autographs and stuff hes so hot! hahahaha i was in heaven...

we unexpectedly ran into him at the MTOT party. We were in line to get Captain Hook's autograph and a CM came up to us and said Captain Hook was leaving and another pirate was coming. We were bummed because the people in front of us got to see Captain Hook. Then we saw that it was Captain Jack. My kids were pretty excited.

Although I like the character, I always fee bad for his handlers. They can't do anything.

Are CMs allowed to wear sunglasses like that? I love the pirate socks....

Here are a couple from our trip last September (07). We were there from the 19th to the 21st Capt. Jack was fantastic, and he even got my son to take him through one of the caves on the island!!! He also took a little compass from my daughter, but she did get it back!

You might be able to tell that these were taken from a Mommy's perspective

Here's one where we unknowingly caught Molly and E in our pic!!! (Actually, Molly's in the first one too...LOL!!! I WISH we had realized that we were both there!)
