OK what do they have to eat there, besides the "grilled stuff"? I see pictures of BIG refrigerated compartments. Does anybody know what is in them? Salad, fruit, yogurt, ice cream? Curiosity is killing me!!!

The grill items are reasonably priced (for WDW).
The fridge and display items are overpriced. You'll pay big $$ for cereal, milk, orange juice, bagels, etc. Paying for convenience I guess.

We were happy with Captain Cook's for its convenience. They had a delicious muffin with macadamian nuts in it, when we were there! Yum!

Is the cost the same/more/less than what you would pay if you picked up something at one of the parks? I was planning on 'grabbing on the go' during EMH mornings. Is there much difference in price? We will be staying at the Poly. Any info on $ and what is available at Samoa Snacks? We are not able to do a supermarket trip on the way from the airport, so this is need to know for me! Thanks for the advice!

Samoa snacks is more.... snacks. Chips, cookies, pretzels, candy, small food and housewares "gift items", and liquor, beer and wine. I seem to remember picking up a box of Entenmann's donuts there once.

Captain Cook's prices are probably about the same as in the parks. It's not a "destination" or a fine dining experience, but it works when you're hungry and in a hurry! They have an ice cream cooler with an assortment of treats, including Mickey bars. Assorted breakfast pastries and cereals. Milk and juices, fountain beverages. Cold sandwiches, fruit, salads. Burgers and pizzas from the grill.

jeankeri - don't forget to but your refillable mugs at Captain Cook's also. Fill up with coffee, grab a muffin and a banana and eat that while you're waiting for the boat or bus to a park. Quick, simple, no-brainer!

I think you will find the parks' spots for a quick grab breakfast are a lot more crowded than the Poly.

Thanks Harambe! The sooner my DS8 and DS6 get a little something in them the linger it has to settle! They have some pretty wild choices on their to do list, and I know I won't be able to get them thinking of food 'till at least 11! They are not big breakfast eaters, so the quick bite is the way to go! I will remember to but the cup for coffee- that will keep me going. Quick question about the cup- how big is it? I am trying to pare down what I'm going to carry around with me and should plan to make room for it! Thanks!
