Cap'n Jack's Restaurant

Has anyone ever tried it? It's on the dining plan at Downtown Disney and Fulton's Crab House isn't. Was hoping to try Fulton's this time but need to stick with my Dining Plan!! TIA

We ate lunch there a week ago yesterday. It was surprisingly good.
I would not hesitate to give it a try again, even for dinner.

We went in Aug 2003 and it was aweful but lately I have been hearing good reviews. We had steak when we went maybe if you stick to seafood...

It is truly amazing how many aweful reviews I have read about CJ's,....

BUT...

we ate there twice last November and we really enjoyed it. The food and the service was outstanding.

We will be eating there again this November. We are on the dining plan too, but would eat there again no matter what, since the food is great and the prices are not bad either

Due to the frequent bad reviews, I had not planned to eat there when we go in Sept, but my D-I-L saw the menus and insisted we exchange Cap'n Jack's for Bomas. We are planning on splitting the dinner there though, just in case we don't like it. Does anyone know if the portions are big enough to split?

Our meal in Febrary 2004 was our worst meal at WDW. However, I have since read several positive reviews, so perhaps Disney read our wretched reviews and hired a new chef.
