Cap'N Jacks or WCC (or ???)

The more I read, the more I'm worried about going to Cap'N Jacks. I really would love lobster tails but not sure if it's worth it with a family. Here's our ADR's for my family - DH, DS9 & DS4, we're on the DDP. Do you think we should try WCC instead of Cap'N Jacks or is there another recommendation?

By the way, my DS9 turns 10 on 10/29 (we return home on 10/28), do you recommend anything special for him at any of the restaurants or parks eventhough his bday isn't until we're gone?

10/26 AK - Cap'N Jacks or ??????
10/27 MGM - Mama Melrose's - Fantasmic pkg (our last night, thought safer to get pkg if the boys liked the show now, than wait until we were there to try and get ADR's.)

By the way, this is my first post, but I have been addicted to this site since learning about it! I love it!!!

i would dine anywhere but cap'n jack. we enjoy WCC and that would be a fun place to celebrate your son's b-day. good luck!!

Where are you staying? Last time at PO-FQ it took us forever to get to WCC so this trip we are trying Cap'n Jacks instead. If you are planning DTD for that evening anyway you could always do Wolfgang Puck Cafe which seems to get better reviews than Cap'n Jack.

We're staying at the Pop Century and using their busing system. I was worried about getting to WCC and was thinking that after Cap'n Jack's we could do some shopping in DTD. WCC sounds like lots of fun, but not sure if necessary.

it is easy to get to WCC--from POP take the MK bus then switch to the boat to WL. to get to DTD from WL, just get on the bus to DTD.

There are lots of bad reviews for Cap'N Jacks, but give it a try! We loved this meal when we went and I even thought it was better than Le Cellier. Try not to rely too much on the reviews on here because everyones tastes are soo different.

Be careful on your timing though. Our reserv at WCC was close to a start time for Hoop which uses the same boat so we had to wait for 2 boats and they don't come that frequently. It took us 1 hour and 40 minutes from PO-FQ to WL. We took a cab back which took about 10 minutes and cost about $15 including tip.

Hoop de Doo would be fun for his birthday, my kids loved it. We had a terrible meal at WC so I won't be going back or recommending it.

We ate at Cap'n Jacks the last trip and have a Adr for this upcoming trip. That is the one restaurant that my mother insists on eating at. She loved the lobster tails!
