CapN' Jacks & Coral Reef for party of 8

sorry if this has already been asked but I have searched and can't find the answer.

I made ADR for both CapN' Jack's and Coral Reef for my party of 8. Both places gave us 2 tables of 4 each.

Do these not have tables for 8 or were they just full?

Because of the design of these restaurants, there are very few bigger tables. I don't recall any at CR, unless they moved some of the tables around on the upper tiers. I'm not sure they can do that, or would, since then half the group would be facing away from the aquarium.

CJ's is about the same--smaller tables arranged around the edge of the restaurant, so everyone has a view of the water. They do have an area with a few more tables set back from the water a bit, where you might be able to fit a bigger group. Like CR, it could be that they can't rearrange tables, or perhaps, like you suggested, they already have a bigger group booked for your time. You can always ask again when you check in for your ADR.

We had 8 in November at Coral Reef. They have L shaped booths facing the tank that can sit 4 in each. They would wait for 2 tables together for your party. The tables do not push together.
