I will admit that I'm not a huge ice cream guy. I much prefer Italian ice (water ice for you locals) but after hearing Pete mention this on the show, I've put it on my list for our upcoming trip. I promise to report back after I have it.

Steve man I'm with you I'm going in September expect a try - soggy cereal was never my thing but I'll try it!

Can't wait to hear, enjoy! :)

I'd love to try all the new eats at D Springs - including Cap'n Crunch ice cream. Now I just have to find someone in my family that will go with me (ain't gonna happen, lol.)
Oh well...maybe when I'm old and gray I can move out to Orlando and live the dream.

It sounds very interesting! I'm not much of an ice cream fan either, but this one intrigues me. Cap'n Crunch is my all-time favorite childhood cereal.

the flavor isn't exclusive to springs. I know sprinkles isn't that widespread but have you looked if there is one closer to you now?

I don't know what capt'n crunch is, but I'm gathering that it's our equivalent of cocoa-pops.
Either way, sounds fab!

I think that's Cocoa Krispies.
I don't know how to describe Cap'n Crunch other than delicious. It's like these sweet, yellow, square puffy things. I don't know if there's an Australian equivalent, but ... you can look for them when you're in the US and maybe seeing the box will help you figure out what they are.

Not PB flavored.

This wasn't the PB flavored cereal? I thought I remember it tasting like that to me. Which one was? I am not very good with bad children's cereal. My favorite cereal as a kid was Grape Nuts or granola:confused3

Steve also you're a New Yorker like me right?? My friends for the last couple of weeks have been taking me out and going to different restaurants...the QUALITY of food in this city and the prices you pay never want to make me spend that kind of money elsewhere for subpar food.

Literally it's been the last few weeks they've been making a New York foodie out of me and I'm loving it :p

I think there was a Cap'n Crunch PB version at one time. My favorite is Cap'n Crunch with Crunchberries!

Does sprinkles let you do the baskin robbins thing where you can try a little bit first. My least favourite thing about cereal is the flavoured milk after the cereal is gone. I think I would want to taste test it first before jumping in to a whole bowl

Nope. I live in south Jersey but I'm close enough to know what a foodie paradise NYC is. I am generally not at all impressed or interested in the dining options at Disney. You're mainly paying for atmosphere, not that there's anything wrong with that. It's just not really about the food.

I believe they do offer samples. :) I've been planning on getting this in a sundae with the salted caramel cupcake for awhile now, so you can always try mine before committing.

I strongly disagree with this. Have you eaten at Monsieur Paul? California Grill? Jiko? They're definitely about the food.

I understand that many restaurants at Disney factor in the atmosphere over food quality (Rainforest Cafe? Hello?!), but that is definitely not the case for all.

Rainforest Cafe is Rainforest Cafe everywhere, but then again most Landry's restaurants are pretty awful. But, I would love to go for a ride on Tilman Fertitta's boat, which probably has better food.
