Im getting really excited and anticipating that the will announce tonight that Georgia Will play in the capital one bowl in Orlando, so we went ahead and booked 4 nights at pop century, we will arrive on 31st and bring in the new years at downtown disney, i dont think we will try to get in a park new years eve because of the crowds. then the 1st we will go to the game. and my question is what do u think the crowds will be like Jan 2 and 3 in the parks?
thanks,
God Bless!!::MickeyMo

im sure the parks will still have left over crowds from new years

Could depend on who you play.
If I'm thinking right, it will be Iowa or Michigan St.
Iowa fans travel good and they are going to be celebrating their
dominating win. So they might stick around a while and have more fun.:cool1:
Michigan St. fans just might be happy with their win and go home.
:confused3

oh ok thanks for the information, i hope neither one of the teams will be celebrating a win and just go back home! lol :thumbsup2

that will be a great game and a great time to be in the parks.

We have had our Disney trip planned for months and have been lifelong Dawg fans (my boys dad played there) Since their fall from #1 has resulted in them going to Orlando, we may just have to go to the game also.

Which ever team will be playing them will not be celebrating, they will be on their way home after the crushing loss we put on them :)

please do come!! it will be a wonderful time! it can also be stafford and moreno's last game with the dawgs, but yes because of the disappoinment of the year im not sure how many fans will come to Orlando, they need all the support they can get, so please come! u cant get better then Disney and Georgia Football in one trip! :) GO DAWGS!!

Since 1/2 & 1/3 are on a weekend, the crowds will diminish some but not a lot. I would imagine people are going to stay for the weekend before heading back to work. I drive by the Citrus Bowl everyday and they do a great job for the Capital One Bowl. I know UGA will bring LOTS of fans so...COME ON DOWN! :teeth:

As a local, I can tell you that generally speaking, crowds remain heavy through around 1/8-1/9. Certainly not to the levels they were between Christmas and New Years, but enough that you'll notice them. Even some CM's last year were remarking that the crowds seem to be lingering.

Yes and I'm glad I don't have to work that day and fight through the traffic on OBT and 408. :thumbsup2

We(Ole Miss)were hoping to be in Orlando but we are proud to go to the Cotton Bowl. I know y'all will have a great time in Orlando. We are pulling for you to beat Michigan State. I will have to wait until next May to wear my Ole Miss shirts. Good Luck and have fun.

thanks alot guys!! if theres any dawgs on here going, i would love to hear yalls plans!! Oh and and to the Ole miss we will be pulling big time for yall against Texas Tech, represent the SEC well, GO DAWGS!!
God Bless!

Having lived in East Lansing for 12 years, even though I have been in GA, 7 years, I still wear the green!!

GeorgiaDawg7, it is a great opportunity to combine a trip to Disney World with seeing your favorite team. We had said for several years that the next time Arkansas went, we were going. So two years ago we did. My biggest advice would be to slow down and don't try to do everything.

Unfortunately, Wisconsin had finished its season the weekend before Thanksgiving with Michigan and Ohio State headed for BCS games. So they were able to accept a Capitol 1 invite early. This made it very difficult to find flights because the Badgers fans had booked their flights before we lost the SEC championship game and knew we were headed there.

Anyway, we ended up on an alumni package with a charter flight into Orlando on Dec. 29 and leaving after the game. We went to DHS as soon as we arrived primarily so DS could see Lightning and Mater. We spent a full day on Dec. 30 at MK beginning with pre-RD breakfast at MK. DW and the kids left after the 8:00 Wishes. My brother and I stayed through the NYE fireworks at midnight and a litte beyond with the EMH. We were at AK for RD on Dec. 31 to hit a few big attractions. We headed to EPCOT around 11:30 to make sure we got in before it was full. I have never seen anything like what we saw there. It looked like a disaster area with people laying on the ground and sitting anywhere they could fit including the grassy areas that you normally would not enter. We saw the Illuminations NYE show and the countdowns from each country was very cool.

On Jan. 1, we went to the game and the charter bus headed to the airport immediately afterward. We slept all the way home and were exhausted but it was a blast. Have fun!!

My wife and I have decided that we are coming back down for the Cap1 Bowl as well!! We, too have booked at WDW at Grand Floridian, and are planning on going to the game. We are lifelong season ticket holders and have already gotten our tickets to the game.
I only wish that we were facing a quality opponent!! Michigan State's W/L record is skewed by the fact that they play in The (not so) Big 10! Without Jevon Ringer they aren't much of a team. I would much rather face a team that was going to give us a game. This years game won't be much better than last years BLOWOUT of Hawaii!!

Thanks alot homerhog it's always nice to see a SEC football and disney lover! lol but we went to the capital one bowl in 2003 when we played purdue, arrived at the world around 2pm new year's eve and spent New year's at the magic kingdom, i was around 10 at the time and of course didnt have much say so on the plans. But it was very crowded (not that I expected any differently) But we didnt get much riding in, and i recall the space mountain line was backed up to the TTA entrance. But the fireworks show was AMAZING like you said, we got to see wishes and the former firework show at MK "Fantasy In The Sky" which brought a tear to my eye when i got to see it again. But it was a poorly planned trip we took in 2003. An now my family is debating whether to spend new year's at MGM, magic Kingdom again, or just stay at pop century and watch georgia tech hopefully gety beat in the Chick-fil-a bowl and then go to DD to bring in the new years! haha but were staying 2 days at the park after the game and were trying to figure out a itenerary for cramming in the 4 parks in 2 days, so any opinions about this situation would be appreciated! GOD BLESS!

another Dawg thats great! but we are season ticket holder's too, would u mine if I ask what section you guys sit in in athens? But I know it was a disappointing season and not what all of us wanted with a 9-3 record (but we've been spoiled by Mark Richt) But our defense has really gotta stand up and play a heck of a game, i know its terrible but im about ready to see willie martinez leave! i read a stat where martinez has gave up 11 30-point games in 4 yrs but in 4 yrs Brian Van Gorder only gave up 1- 30 point game, :sad2: so i feel CHANGES have to be made! but ringer will be a test for our defense and im pumped about the game! i just hope it's not moreno's and stafford's last game!:sad2: I really wanted to have to make a trip to miami this year, or new orleans again. but im really excited about going to Orlando! It will be a trip of a lifetime, theres nothing like disney world and georgia football together! God Bless
