We like to go to Bowl games if we will be in that town for fun no matter who is playing. Have done the Capital One Bowl a few times, a couple times we were there with "our team".
1) If you haven't - pre-purchase parking at one of the lots surrounding the stadium. You choose your lot then buy.
2) If no connection to a team, pick one to cheer for, order some t-shirts and enjoy. So much more fun to be cheering for a team.
3) Driving - you can stay anywhere but last year they stayed Downtown Orlando and appreciated being so close to the game.
4) Driving - pack snacks, cooler, food stuffs etc - go early, tailgate, interact with other fans, go to the Fan Fest.
5) No car - def stay Downtown.
FAN FEST:
"Live music, entertainment, interactive games, inflatables, video board featuring other bowl game action and premier sponsor interactive displays including Capital One, GEICO and Toyo Tires highlight the official pre-game party, the Capital One FanFest at McCracken Field is adjacent to the Florida Citrus Bowl Stadium and free to all fans with game ticket."
