Cape May Seafood Buffet or LTT?

Okay, we've never been to either one so it's a toss up. We still have well over a year to decided BUT I'd like to line things up, see how they look and change them all around again. :cool1:

The only thing is, I would LOVE to go to Cape May Seafood Buffet but DH isn't a seafood type of person. I checked out allears menu page and noticed they had prime rib and some other things DH would probably eat (potatoes, corn on the cob and dessert) We would be going with SIL, BIL & nephew who all like seafood (my 2 boys aren't seafood people either but noticed stuff they would eat on the menu)

Do you think it would be worth going to? I'm not at all fussy, so I'll find enough for myself to eat. But would it be a better choice to go to LTT? I find myself always chosing places that my husband will like (even if it means I skip out of a few things that I would like to try)

It doesn't matter whether either place is a character meal (we're doing plenty of those)

What would you do?

I would personally choose Cape May over LTT...it is one of my family's favorite places to eat. In all fairness, it has been years since we've eaten at LTT so my current experience there is lacking, but Cape May is a "don't miss" spot for us.

Enjoy your planning. :goodvibes

I've never been to either but did a good amount of research on both when trying to figure out my ADR's for September- we chose Cape May Cafe ;)

I think your husband will be able to find plenty to eat at the buffet. I recall some seriously delicious chicken fingers there...I'm dead serious! I think they had meat options as well (ham? prime rib?). My DBF doesn't care much for seafood either and he ended up rolling :rotfl: out of there!!!

I haven't been to LTT so I don't really know much about it. The Cape May was what I consider an ok place. You just need to know that we went three years ago so it may be better then it was then...I'm not really huge on steam table seafood anyway. I also know what you mean about choosing what your husband likes over what you like...my tastes run a little more simple then my husband who likes to do it up big! I'm not crazy about French Food or for that matter Norwegian food but he loves them! See if maybe you can squeeze at least ONE thing that you like into your plans...you'll have more fun. Helen

I was in the same exact position LTT vs Cape May Cafe, BUT we are all big seafood lovers. So that helped us make the decision. I say, if you want to try, go for it. I'm sure DH will survive for one noght on prime rib! Also, when you finish dinner you can head over to the Boardwalk for some entertainment.

Then he'll like Cape May. It's seafood lovers that generally find Cape May unsatisfactory.

I would choose LTT over Cape May. It's just a better experience overall, being there in the middle of the Magic Kingdom instead of at some remote hotel (unless, of course, you're staying over by Crescent Lake, that is).
