Cape May Replacement?

Another vote for Cape May. It has become a Friday night staple for us as the last night of our visit - ADR on 10/7/11!

My wife is not a fan of buffets, but she makes sure we go here every trip now!

Thank you for posting this! It is nice to hear that a non-buffet person really enjoys Cape May!

As an update, we were able to add one more night of free dining because of the fd date change (added Oct. 22nd), so we kept Cape May (which we were already going to do because of the great opinions on this thread :)), kept Yak & Yeti, and added Rose & Crown.

Thanks again to everyone for your help! :goodvibes

It's one of our faves, too. There is enough variety to make the whole family happy, and it has lots of foods that kids like.

The ribs and chicken are fine, the salad bar is not huge but has some good stuff, and they have 2 soups. I've enjoyed the NE Clam Chowder - yum!

The crab legs were fine for my DH and DD - I'm not a crab lover so I didn't have any. I did have a bucket of mussels and clams and they were very tasty and fresh. I also had salad, some ribs, cornbread and some chicken.

Ribs at Trail's End are better to us, but we would say Cape May is second :thumbsup2

We just went last Friday and it was our favorite meal all week. DH and DD love crab and both were very happy, they were hot and they kept it filled.

I'm so glad you decided to go to Cape May after all. Our family had SO much fun and SUCH good food there, we can't WAIT to book it again. Wish I could be there right now actually...... I think you'll love it! :thumbsup2

I would keep Cape May..For every bad review you will find, you will also find dozens of great reviews.People are more often likely to bash a place then to praise one, and dining is a very SUBJECTIVE thing...We happen to love it, eat there 1-2 times per trip and never have had a bad experience

I agree, we had a wonderful meal and great service. It turned into one of our favourite places and a "must-do regular":thumbsup2

If your family loves crab legs, keep Cape May.

We were there in May and LOVED it. The crab legs and all the seafood was propered correct and absolutely no complains about the food. Service was okay, but it's a buffet.
