I will admit I am a Lilo lover.... Ohana just may be mostly for me ;) And, we are staying at BC now, so wondering if this makes more sense... what characters are usually there? I kinda remember reading Mickey Pluto Chip & Dale. What makes either breakfast more special than the other? What kinds of antics actually go on at Ohana? thanks for any insight or comments!

The line up at Cape May from what I have read recently is Minnie, Goofy and Donald. All in beach wear. I have not yet been to Cape May for breakfast, but I have been for dinner and it is very good. Keep in mind this is a buffet - 'Ohana's Best Friend's Breakfast is all you care to eat family style breakfast.

We LOVE 'Ohana's breakfast. It's wonderful! Very tasty and fresh. The characters there are Lilo (as you know), Stitch, Mickey and Pluto. We have been several times and it never fails to please every member of my family. If you haven't checked the menus, I encourage you to check them out.

Cape May breakfast - Minnie, Goofy, Donald in swimwear, the most relaxed character meal on property, fantastic character interaction, standard breakfast buffet & nothing special IMO

Ohana breakfast - Mickey, Pluto, Lilo & Stitch, Pluto & Stitch are very entertaining & usually put on quite a show, good food served family style (mickey waffles, eggs, bacon, sausage, breakfast breads, fruit), characters will lead a parade for kids around restaurant with maracas

Both are good and you will probably enjoy either - that being said we prefer Ohana - it's one of our favorites

We love both, but I think that Cape May edges out 'Ohana but just a little, tiny bit.

Cape May:
lots of choices on the buffet
great character interaction--lots of attention (and we've been several times)

'Ohana
Delicious food served family style. You don't have to get up and down to fill your plate and possibly miss the characters
Some of the tables are hard for the characters to get to because the room is a bit crowded

Ah, decisions, decisions! Don't worry, they're both good.

2 words....MICKEY WAFFLES.

I know Ohana has them, not sure about Cape May, but that would be the deal breaker!

Yes, Cape May has Mickey waffles. IMHO I think the food is better at Cape May. We've done Ohana twice and the food we've had was definitely fair at best. Food is much fresher at Cape May.

I wouldn't make a special trip out of my way for Ohana but it does have more fun things to do during the meal. We do miss Chip n Dale at Cape May too. Donald is ok but Chip n Dale made it more fun!!

So if you don't care about the food much go for Ohana, if you want more food variety stick with Cape May.

I think the two meals are fairly comparable, meaning you should base your decision purely on personal preference. You mentioned your desire to meet Lilo. That gives 'Ohana a definite edge. Another potential criteria is the difference in the breakfast format. I do not love buffets and typically would choose family-style service when give the choice. So to me, there's another point for 'Ohana.

The one key element I see in Cape May's favor is the location. Since you are staying at the Beach Club already, it's easy to walk down to the lobby and head straight to breakfast. The commute to the Polynesian isn't terribly inconvenient, but it's not in the lobby of your resort.

I hope this post helped! I realize I may have raised more questions than answers!
