We have tried the other character breakfasts, so far Tusker house is our favourite.

We will be booking Tusker House again for our next vacation at Christmas, which other character breakfast should we try this time Cape May or Chef Mickey?

I guess that is personal taste. Chef Mickey's can be crazy busy but is close to MK. We loved the food at Cape May and it is close to Epcot but can be tough to get to. Both are good but I think Cape May is better.

When it comes to food, I don't see enough of a difference for it to sway me one way or another. The Cape May/Chef Mickey's debate comes down to a few other things. Are you staying in the EC resort area (BC/YC, BWI, Swan or Dolphin)? Is seeing Mickey or Pluto a must? How early of a breakfast are you looking for? What park will you be heading to that day? Will you have your own car or relying on Disney transportation? Are you willing to take a taxi if you had to?

If seeing Mickey or Pluto are not musts or if you are staying in the EC resort area or have your own car or are willing to take a taxi or plan on having a later breakfast ADR or are heading to DHS that day, then go with Cape May.

If you must see Mickey or Pluto, are not staying in the EC resort area, want an early morning ADR but do not have your own car or are not willing to take a taxi or are going to MK that day, then go with Chef Mickey's.

Cape May is a bit more relaxed than Chef Mickey's is. However, getting to it can be pretty time consuming if you aren't staying in an EPCOT resort. The easiest way (if relying on Disney transportation) would be to take a bus from your resort to DHS and then take the boat from DHS to the BC. Not a lot of people want to be doing that first thing in the morning.

We did both last trip and it will be a long, long, long time before we ever go back to Chef Mickey's but we loved Cape May Cafe.

CM's was a mess, chaotic, the food was horrid, the service was inattentive (as in DH had to go find our server to get drink refills), the characters were super rushed, Mickey skipped our table...it was our first breakfast of our trip and I was honestly second questioning eating another meal on property.

CMC on the other hand was clean, relaxing, quiet, calm, the servers were very attentive and helpful, the food was fabulous, the characters made it around twice each morning we ate there, the characters spent a lot of time at each table and were so much fun...it was honestly the best breakfast we had all week.

So for us, it would be CMC hands down.

Chef Mickeys is gross. Food quality and selection wasnt very good. Food wasnt even warm! The characters were great thou. That was the only good thing. I vote for Cape May.

But I do agree with "OhThePain", it all depends which park your going to be visiting that day. If your gonna be at MK, it only makes sense to go to CM. If your gonna be at HS or Epcot, then go to Cape May.

We used to eat at CM's at least once each trip....but we haven't eaten there in years. Why? The food was not all that wonderful, service was really lacking and it was way too chaotic. For the money, it just wasn't worth it to us anymore. BUT...we still do Goofy's Beach Blast Breakfast on every trip. It is our traditional last breakfast onsite. Of course, we routinely stay at BWV so it's easy to get there.
But, the food is good, the service has always been wonderful and the character interaction some of the best we've had.
Tusker House, and Donald's breakfast is also a huge favorite of ours.

Cape May Cafe hands down....we have eaten at CM twice (once for breakfast and once for dinner) and decided that was enough. The service has been horrible both times, the food was so-so, and the characters seemed like they were in a rush. At Cape May (a must do for us), the food is always hot and fresh, the service has always been impeccable, and the characters are awesome....the characters really spend their time at each of the tables playing with the kids (and adults). Also, we really love the fact that it is not as hectic as some of the other character meals....it is very laid back and much quieter. If you are looking to do a character meal on a MK day, I would suggest either O'hana's at the Poly or try and get an ADR for Crystal Palace before the park opens, these are great character breakfasts as well with Crystal Palace being more of our favorite between the two. Good luck :goodvibes
