We haven't been to either. I know totally different places but trying to decide between the two.

Suggestions??

I would like to hear the response to this as well. We were thinking of getting out of Epcot one night and heading over to the Boardwalk area for dinner. Is there one that is particularly better than another? More romantic?

Have been to both. It depends on how much you like crab legs or like to eat! If you love crab legs go to Cape May for all you can eat crab legs. If you like to eat a lot go to Cape May to eat a lot! If you want a relaxing quiet meal that is semi fancy go to Captains Grill. I liked Captains Grille but would probably go to Cape May because I love me some crab legs!!

Cant go wrong with either!

never been to captain's grille but LOVE cape may! :)

have eaten there many times and on our last trip it was my husbands favorite dinner! we loved the selection of food on the buffet and the crab legs were especially great! we were also there on the night that the fried shrimp is served and it was sooo good...prob. best fried shrimp i have ever had!

cape may would be my choice!:thumbsup2

I prefer Cape May Cafe. I am not even a seafood eater and really enjoyed my meal there. I had dinner at Captain's Grill once and hated it.

I have been to both but only for breakfast. I definitely have a preference between the two....Cape May was FAR better. The character buffet at Cape May was awesome and the food was really, really, great! Captain's Grill had poor service, mediocre food, and a blah atmosphere.

If you are thinking of lunch or dinner, I can't help you there! ;)

The buffet for breakfast at Captains Grille is actually quite good, and it's way cheaper than Cape May if you're paying out of pocket and don't want to pay the premium for characters. I've done it three times in the past year and a half, and it's been consistently good.

I haven't eaten there for dinner since they changed over from the Yacht Club Galley name, so I can't voice an opinion on that until I try it. But I would not hesitate to recommend the buffet breakfast.

I must have visited on a really off day! ;) The service was poor and the food not so great. But you are correct, it is cheaper and if you are not into the characters then it is probably a decent choice.

Oh, and don't mistake the cream cheese for butter - it's not so great on the waffles!! :rotfl2:
