Cape May for breakfast?

I disagree. I'm a food snob and didn't think Chef Mickey's was 's all too bad. We ate there last October with our little cousins. The food was actually hot and not as bad as everyone makes it out to be.

There's a reason why this place is often disliked by so many. But to each their own opinion. I'm sure there is something here on the DIS we can agree on, but it won't be CM; I disagree and I would call it one of my worst dining experiences in and out of WDW. :goodvibes

Eating a departure day breakfast at Cape May is our family tradition. We enjoy interacting with the characters all dressed for a day at the beach - and soaking up a little more Disney magic before the long trip home. Cape May at breakfast never seems to be too loud or overly crowded. We enjoy the food there as well. I especially like their selection of fresh fruits and my husband loves the bread pudding (no bread pudding last October though). The hot dishes are consistently fresh and tasty and there seems to be a huge variety of things to try.

We had a great stay at the Swan in June so we decided to cancel our Cape May reservation and try Garden Grove instead since we had read so many positive reviews. We were greatly disappointed. To be fair, it was on a weekday when there were no characters. The egg dishes seemed rubbery, the grits were lumpy and the fruit selection was very limited. We definitely will be returning to our Cape May breakfast tradition on our next trip. We have never been disappointed there yet.
