Cape May/Fantasmic! question

We have the Fantasmic! package booked for lunch at Brown Derby in June.

Fantasmic! is at 9PM that night and we have a Cape May ADR for 6:30.

Will we have enough time to eat and then get over to DHS in time for Fantasmic!? And should we walk, take a bus or the boat?

I think you will be pushing it a bit. I think for the package they still tell you to arrive an hour ahead (someone can correct me if that's wrong). At a minimum, I think it would be stressful to be trying to wrap up dinner, being anxious about waiting for the boat, etc.

Second point - to me, even more important - what time is your lunch reservation and are you really going to feel like eating a whole buffet at 6:30? That sounds like 2 big meals too close together. I would just skip the Cape May and tour and eat something counter service prior to Fantasmic.

i ditto the PP... keep in mind that you will need to allow an hour to get from CM back to DHS simply because transportation is slow and walking can be faster or slower... but regardless, and hour to get to the theatre is the minimum i'd allow... and although i'm not sure what the official rule is, you def need to be there at least 30 if not 45 mins before showtime!

also, our experience w/CM is that it is the slowest buffet and the longest wait for a table... we stayed at the BC and dined there 3 or 4 times and we often waited (w/ADRs) 30-45 mins or more each time...

ditto the PP on "will you even be hungry" for a 6:30 buffet? seems like a waste... and don't believe all the "hype" and the title (seafood buffet) as it's really just another buffet meal... dinner does not include the characters either...

you would be much better served spending time in DHS... maybe go see B&tB or LMA... or just do some people-watching... take the boat from DHS to the resorts to sightsee (B'walk is a great choice for walking/watching and CS)... or have some FPs saved up from before lunch to use in the late afternoon/evening...
